After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, Mr. Hunt went on to attend Stetson University College of Law, one of Florida’s most respected law schools. Following law school, he began his legal career at the Hillsborough County Public Defender’s Office, where he gained extensive courtroom and trial experience representing individuals charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies.

During his time at the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Hunt handled a high volume of criminal cases and quickly developed a reputation as a skilled and aggressive advocate for his clients. He eventually rose to leadership positions within the office, serving as a Division Chief in multiple divisions, including intake, misdemeanor, and felony courtrooms. In these leadership roles, he supervised attorneys, managed complex criminal cases, and continued litigating serious matters in court.

This experience gave Mr. Hunt invaluable insight into how criminal cases are investigated, prosecuted, negotiated, and tried in Tampa courts. It also allowed him to build substantial courtroom experience that many attorneys simply do not possess.
